Find your career crush

I slept with dreams and that woke me energized in the morning. What I could find that I was left with a sole dream, I call it my career crush; the crush I am passionate enough to go head-over-heals.

I thought that I am in love with games, tours, reading, drawing, singing and others but they all now seem to be pass timers. I picked up my passion out of the list of these activities.

You may or may need the career guidance but what you need to identify is the passion keeps you engaged all the time, the passion that keeps you charged, the passion that keeps you on toes.

I did try with varied set of activities and kept on eliminating those who were unable to keep me engaged. To find what your love is, you need to identify what keeps you happy and engaged.  So, after the first round of eliminations, you need to have at the most 3 to 5 items in the list that you need to experiment upon.

Now, it is the time to date upon. Give a couple of months to each and without uttering any words of commitment, just find out whether the activity gives you the challenge and enjoyment or whether it has certain elements of boredom. If you get bored then it is not meant for you. Simply, divorce it before you get married to it.

Spending time to experiment is not a loss as it is an investment for the life time. But, in the meantime, you tend to find the activity that gives you sleepless nights but on a good note, the activity that makes you an early riser, the activity that gets you out of the social and comfort zones.

It can happen only when you find a kick, a trigger not only for the activity itself but also for the goals in the long run. The goals not in materialistic parameters alone but in the form of contentment that you tend to achieve.

Reading the case studies and biographies with a bit of self-experiments might drive the crazy side of you but it is on a good note. Experimentation is always good than to discover a bad taste later.

After all, it is for having your love be on your lap for ever and ever…with virtually no boredom as you are able to marry crush and turn it as your passion.
